We all know that activities leave their mark on the environment. However, not everyone knows that any event - from the Olympics to a business meeting - can be done with minimal harm and maximum benefit both for the participants and for the future of the planet. Our task is to tell you that organizing a "green" event is not difficult, it is not just a fashion trend, but a way to be part of the solution.
The study showed that more than 60% of Russians are ready to change their consumer habits if this really reduces the harm to nature. Therefore, the environmental initiatives proposed by the organizers meet with great support from the participants and are perceived positively.

Responsible holding of even one event already makes a significant contribution to the environment. However, this should not affect the quality of the meeting itself.
Today, many new hotels, country complexes, conference halls, restaurants are being built, and more and more often the “green leaf” icon appears in their description, and the ECO prefix sounds loudly in the name. But is it all "eco" that they imagine?
We have prepared a checklist for you, according to which you can check your future site for thematic compliance:
Location: availability of public transport and walking routes. If most of the guests travel by air/train, choose a site closer to the airport or train station. So you can save on the transfer by choosing a shuttle bus for this.
Sustainable Infrastructure:energy efficiency, use of renewable energy sources, an organized waste and water management system, and also check the site for sufficient capacity for your specific event. So that you do not have to rent additional generators for gasoline.
Flexibility and adaptability of space:the possibility of using reusable and environmentally friendly materials for decoration, the possibility of their delivery for processing.
Cooperation with local suppliers: preference for organic and seasonal products, support for local production (read more about this Here). Or having your own catering that meets the specified criteria.
Organization of separate waste collection: whether the site cooperates with the RSO organizers, whether it is possible to provide tanks for separate waste collection.
Based on these venue criteria, you will be able to choose the best venue for your conscious event, contributing to the sustainable development of the planet.
