The volume of the carbon footprint of the project depends on the correct choice of the venue of the event. The rejection of additional transport will significantly reduce the emissions of recycled fuel and the budget for the delivery of participants.

Recommendations

Transport accessibility

To reduce transport emissions, use a platform that is easily accessible by public transport or regular shuttles.

  • It is more convenient to hold city-level events in the city center - it is usually best provided with transport.

  • It is better to place national and international events at venues located near airports. They are easily accessible to both locals and guests from other regions. And the availability of free shuttles to / from the site allows you to save on transfers and their organization.

Infrastructure

If an event requires several venues - a conference hall, a banquet hall for dinner, an outdoor area for the entertainment part - look for a venue that has it all. In extreme cases, let it be within walking distance from the site. The fewer transfers there are, the less harmful emissions, costs for the customer and problems for the organizer.

Food

Own kitchen on the site - saving on emissions when transporting catering both ways.

Light, Sound and Video

If the site is provided with light, sound and video equipment, this saves not only money for rent and/or construction, but also reduces emissions when delivering equipment from the distributor's warehouse.

Energy

If the site is unable to provide sufficient power supply capacity for the organization of the event, they will have to be replenished with additional mobile generators, which are not only expensive, but also pollute the atmosphere with diesel fuel products gorenje.
